What motivated you to pursue a career in private equity?

What motivated me to pursue a career in private equity was the opportunity to work closely with exceptional CEOs and high-growth, category-defining businesses. I was drawn to the combination of evaluating interesting companies, thinking strategically about what makes them successful, and helping support their growth with capital and partnership.

Where did you grow up, and how has that shaped you?

I grew up in San Mateo, just 30 minutes south of San Francisco, and that has shaped both my love for the outdoors and my interest in technology. Living in the Bay Area means I can spend time outside doing things like swimming in the bay or biking across the Golden Gate, while also being surrounded by some of the best technology companies in the world. It’s hard to imagine a better place to call home.

If you could live anywhere in the world for a year, where would it be?

I’d choose the island of Hvar in Croatia. I’ve never been somewhere that felt so beautiful and so full of unique, interesting people, and spending a year there would be an incredible experience.
